BabyMax1.0 — She’s HERE!
Just a quick update to let you know that Nathan and Melanie’s little girl was born safely by C-Section this morning a little before 2 a.m. She is healthy and in the NICU as is the hospital’s procedure prior to 36 weeks. We’re waiting for Nathan and Melanie to have a blog post after they get a few hours of sleep :-).

PRAISE GOD!!! I just burst into tears when I read the good news. I’ve been checking for updates every few hours for the past couple of weeks! I’ve got a two week old baby and every time that I have to get up at night to care for him I think of Nathan and Melanie and how they would love the chance to make those sacrifices. Then I’ve prayed for them and their sweet little one. I’ll keep praying that Melanie recuperate well from surgery and that their precious daughter grow strong and healthy. Gotta go summon the rest of my family to tell them the wonderful news! Thank you for the update!!! YAY!!!!!

Praise the Lord! Although we have never met you all, we just love you so much. God knows what is best, and I guess maybe you had to be in the hospital so you could be a light for Him. We are out of state, visiting family, but I have been keeping up with you twice a day and telling my family all about you and we’ve been praying!!! I checked the blog late last night and my Dad was like, “Well?”, but no new news to report, so it was with great excitement this morning when I checked the blog and found out SHE’S HERE!!!! Congratulations to you and Praise be to God for the wonderful thing He has done.
I meant to write the other day but didn’t have the time for the detailed message I wanted to give you…bottom line is this…ginger tea is great for post c-section, helps with relieving gas from the air in the abdominal cavity. Also, have Melanie get up and walk within 24 hours. Standing upright is so much less painful than lying in a bed. It’s painful to go through the process of GETTING UP and GETTING DOWN but once up, it is much better and also helps relieve the gas. She might get pain in her shoulders from a nerve that runs from the abdomen up to the shoulder (deferred pain) but being upright alleviates this so much. I learned this after my first c-section and put it all into practice with my second one and, oh, what a difference. But, not every woman gets that shoulder pain.
I can’t wait to see pictures and hear what you have named this precious gift from God.

Do you hear that? Listen carefully…If you turn your ears to the south you might hear it better…Hear it now? That’s the sound of 10 little L’s jumping up and down and cheering, 1 littlest L crying, and a Mommy and Daddy L praising the Lord!

The children were sitting in the dining room playing games and reading and I walked in and said, “Guess what Susannah Joy got today?” They looked at me and immediately knew!

I thought of you on Good Friday, the bittersweet anniversary of Susannah Joy’s arrival. Praise God! How exciting. I have been watching all weekend and truly when I saw the post she was here utter joy filled my heart, I was suprised myself how it made me feel. Just pure joy! Isn’t God good? Even when trial hits our lives HE is there to comfort and to bring joy and restore, what an honor it is to know HIM! Enjoy every minute with this little girl, my youngest is 4 now and I truly can’t believe how time has flown! People are always saying that but it is so true! One day your holding them in your arms and the next your homeschooling them and on and on. Cherish every minute, even in the middle of the night! lol

I am sitting here just feeling so thrilled for all of you. I am rejoicing with you and just so thankful to the Lord for what He has done! My daughter Meghan’s birthday is May 18th!!! And what a blessing she has been in our lives over these past four years. The memories of her difficult pregnancy and labor are long past but the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ are there every single time I see her big blue eyes looking at me.
