I love, love, love this idea. I've been shopping for Christ centered decorations and it's so sad that there's hardly anything out there that reflects the true reason for the season - our beautiful Savior's birth. This is just what I've been looking for! Have a very Merry CHRISTmas!!!

I will be changing our Christmas decor next year. Our oldest son (3 1/2 yr old) when asked what is Christmas about responded, "Snowman." My heart dropped like a crystal bowl and shattered. We have nativities and Christ-centered ornaments, etc. but apparently there is just enough snowmen, etc. to confuse the little one. Thank you for sharing, I think I'll start now looking since as you mentioned it is so hard to find Christ-centered decorations. I think I'm going to implement this into our year-round decor as well. Again, thank you for sharing.

PS-the loaves of bread you hand out when carolling look delicious do you have the recipe posted somewhere?

--------
Dear Mrs. Jennifer,
I'm sorry about the situation with your little boy. I'm sure the Lord will give you ideas for what to do with the decorating! The cinnamon bread recipe I posted on our Cookbook forum. Here's the link to the post: http://openforums.titus2.com/module/forums/t/14599/

Blessings, Sarah

I love your outdoor Cross! What a beautiful reminder of the REAl reason to everyone who passes by your home!

This year, my dh decided to build an 8 foot "Christmas Cross" to use in our living room (he used the large square timbers). We wrapped it in garland and lights and it is a beautiful reminder to our family and our visitors of the reason for the birth of Christ.

Merry Christmas, and may the Lord bless your family!

Thank you for posting these instructions. I am currently reading the Moody books to our younger children (our older ones enjoyed them when they first came out) - and we are just about finished with Winter. Our six year old really wanted to make a cross for our door like Mitch and Max's. He tried to describe it to his older brother to get some help. It was so cute to hear him telling about the Moody's cross on their door! I assumed the Maxwell's probably had one just like it! :) Hopefully, the M.'s will too in a few days! Thanks.
