thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. (Psalms 89:5)
and we’ll be posting an update on that soon!)
We were headed out of town around 1 p.m. this afternoon. All of the family was up until past midnight, and almost half were up until 2:30 a.m. or a little later! Everyone pitched in again this morning, from running errands, to finishing touches on the bus, to trying to get personal things packed, to leaving all the Titus2 shipping things in order for G&G (Grandma and Grandad), and more.
I think this trip is a little unusual in the fact that we will be stopping at home overnight next Wednesday, packing up more books, and then heading to the Rogers, Arkansas conference Thursday. It’s a relief to know if we’ve forgotten something on this month long trip, we can grab it a week into it!
Nathan, Melanie, and Abby had us over for dinner last night, a tradition they’ve been doing to help us out so we don’t have to fix dinner the night before leaving. Melanie must have worked a long time on dinner–it was simply delicious (thanks, Melanie!). We had a nice time in God’s Word after that.
We look forward to seeing some of you in Denver (Aurora) tomorrow night and Saturday.
Blessings,
Sarah

Last night, around 9:30, we thought that there hadn't been enough bus curtain made. So, I cut a set out, and Mary began sewing. We found later that we HAD done that set!
“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord…” (Philippians 3:1).
Okay, I couldn’t resist posting another one quickly. I overheard John walking out of the bus with a guy who had come to do something here, and John asked if he thought we’d be ready in time. I heard a chuckle, and the guy said it depended on how late we were going to stay up.
I heard that the water is working on the bus now. Praise Jesus! Thanks for everyone’s encouragement! We’re excited about this trip!

“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8).
This will be likely be my last post until we’re officially on the road, and then we can update you with pictures.
Another work day has been completed, and our last one is ahead of us. Truly, we ARE grateful for your prayers.

Another long day, but progress was made. We’re all looking forward to being in the bus and on our way to Denver come Thursday. We know, at this point, not all the projects will be completed, but at least enough for the bus to be livable, Lord willing. We’ll finish up projects here and there as we go…
Here are some pictures…

We had a quick birthday party tonight for Grandad and Melanie. Mom prepared much of our delicious dinner!
“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace” (Psalms 29:11).
The bus work is progressing, and we’re very thankful for your prayers. Below you’ll find many pictures from the last few days. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will fly by as preparations continue!
The Lord continues to give grace and strength. Thursday, we discovered our freshwater tank, brand new and already installed behind two other tanks, had a leak. After discussing it with the manufacturer, they gave us a phone number of a place that could fix it. John left early Friday morning to go to the other side of Kansas City to have it repaired. It ended up they had to build a new tank, but they were able to do that yet Friday. Praise Jesus
.
We would covet your prayers as we continue to prepare.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

I don't have a ton of pictures of John because he's been running many errands getting parts needed as well as spending all Friday waiting for the new tank to be made, etc.

The Lord provided the countertop for only $50 about 6 weeks ago. It was a scrap piece, worth MUCH more, and the place offered to sell it to us. We had to sand out some scratches and now it looks good.
We wanted to let our blog readers know that Steve’s “project” that caused him to miss being able to write two Dad’s Corners is now available. For some time, Steve has had a burden on his heart for helping busy, time-pressured, and often stressed Christian dads be all that God has called them to be. In addition, requests for information on time management for men come to us regularly.
This summer with the house project behind us and before investing time in the bus conversion, Steve spent many weeks and hours working on his new book called Redeeming the Time: A Practical Guide to a Christian Man’s Time Management.
This book is designed not only to help a man manage his time, but also to allow him to fulfill his calling as a husband and father in Christ Jesus. We are excited about the feedback we received from the men who read Steve’s manuscript.
Even though we aren’t announcing the book in our Corners mailing yet, we know that some of our blog readers are anxiously awaiting Sarah’s Moody book completion. Because some of you might want Steve’s book as well, we thought we should let you know since shipping is less expensive when you get the two books in one order. We didn’t want you to order Sarah’s book, pay shipping, and then when we announced Steve’s book order that and pay shipping again.

I wanted to give you all a quick picture update of the last few days. The weather has been unseasonably cool–so cool, you actually have to wear a sweatshirt in the morning if you’re outside. We’re praising the Lord for such incredible weather with the bus work! Okay, now onto the pictures… Thank you for your prayers! We actually had to send one of our tanks back to the manufacturer Friday via a trucking place due to needing something welded. We should hopefully have it back this Friday. There is still much to be done, and we are grateful for your prayers!

Sunday night, we gave a concert at a church here in town. The Lord blessed it, and we all came away refreshed.

John worked on sealing up the front of the bus, so at one point, you could see right through the front area since the hood was open. Jesse is great for posing with a picture!

(Those book announcements will be coming tomorrow…)
“He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion” (Psalms 111:4).
