Beautiful work. Joseph has a gift and it’s so good to see him using it in the home. The fireplace is stunning, and the wall hanging is so lovely, I too would buy one for my own home.

Children are brought up with the idea that they must want to leave home at 18 and get out on their own. My children did this in that they went off to college, but still lived at home during holidays and summers. Definitly not ther same as how your family does it. I feel a bit of regret that I didn’t learn all this until my children were grown.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful talent of one of your children.

What a great post. I actually struggle with the fact of when it is right for our children to leave home. We have four children ages 4-10, 2boys and 2 girls. Society tells us 18 is the magical year but I’m beginning to wonder why. I would be so appreciative of more training time with them in young adulthood as well. Thanks for posting this. Definitely something for my husband and I to be praying about.

Kind of reminds me of the Lord using all the best skilled craftsmen in Israel to build Solomon’s temple. He gives us gifts and talents to be used for His glory. God bless your beautiful family.

That is a LOVELY wall hanging…I would love for the walls of my house to be covered with Scripture – what a lovely idea and how you are making it happen.

This is something I hope for my children. Our first three are boys. I think most people want them out of the house fast. But, I would rather they stay at home and save up money for their future. I think our life could have been so different if we had a little saved to put down on a home or some land.
