Steve and Teri Maxwell

Beginning their homeschooling adventure in 1985, Steven and Teri Maxwell are the parents of eight, one married. Their four homeschool graduate children are now wage-earning adults while the other four children remain active homeschool students.

Steve and Teri led their local homeschool support group for ten years. In addition, Steve was the president of the Kansas state homeschool association for two years. Steve is self-employed in his family business, Communication Concepts, Inc., along with his three sons. His oldest daughter is the business manager for their Titus2.com ministry.

Together Steve and Teri have authored Managers of Their Homes: A Practical Guide to Daily Scheduling for Christian Homeschool Families, Keeping Our Children’s Hearts: Our Vital Priority, Managers of Their Chores: A Practical Guide to Children’s Chores, and Just Around the Corner: Encouragement and Challenge for Homeschooling Dads and Moms. In addition, Teri has written Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit and Steve, Preparing Sons to Provide for a Single-Income Family. Their oldest daughter has written four children’s books: Summer with the Moodys, Autumn with the Moodys, Winter with the Moodys, and Spring with the Moodys.

For seventeen years the Maxwells have been writing monthly e-mail encouragement articles for homeschooling dads and moms that can be subscribed to for free from their Titus2.com site (www.Titus2.com/corners).

While raising and training their sons and daughters is Steve and Teri’s highest joy and calling, they take great delight in making it a priority to spend a number of weekends a year giving sessions across the country, taking their family along with them. Their two oldest unmarried children share with other young adults/teens through a teen track, if desired.

The Maxwells’ desire is to encourage, exhort, and equip homeschool families.
The names and ages of their children at home (one is married) are: Christopher, 28, Sarah, 25, Joseph, 18, John, 16, Anna, 14, Jesse, 12, and Mary, 10 .
